Chain Pickerel in Lehman Lake

The huge Chain Pickerel in this picture was "the one that got away." The inspiration came from a fish that I had hooked but ultimately lost under a dock on Lehman Lake, PA. The murky water and abundance of weeds made for a great setting to paint a pickerel. It's fitting that I finally got one a month after I finished this painting.
