Majestic of the Montain

Depicted here is a native brook trout, the New Jersey state fish. I chose to draw a brook trout because it is one of my favorite species of fish. The olive back, the fiery underside, the yellow markings, and especially the red spots with blue halos all combine to form a beautiful fish. It won first place in the state for Grades 7-9 in the State Fish Art and Writing Contest by Wildlife Forever.
